Infected tooth and eye?!

Question: I may have an infected tooth because all around it it is swollen and the past few days my eye has been red on one side but I wear contacts so I thought it was because of that and now I read some answers but could it have something to do with one another?

If the tooth is on the top of your mouth, then yes, they could be related.

Get to the dentist as soon as possible. Get the tooth out. It would solve all the problems with your eye and swelling.

If your upper teeth is infected you may have either red swelling or painless large swelling. The red swelling is called Acute. And the other Chronic.
If the upper premolars or canaine is infected then eyes also may be swollen.
Consult your dentist

They could. See your dentist asap.

What everyone else said it very true. It could also be a coincidence. I had the same thing happen - for some reason at the exact same time I got an infection in my lower canine tooth, I also got a bacterial infection in my eye. After that cleared up I had another bout of redness on one side of my eye that cleared up on it's own with allergy eyedrops.
