Is a Periodontist a Good Profession?
You know I been on this major career path and keep finding new professions and would like to know if anyone have heard of a Periodontist and is the working status good and is the salary good !

It is a long road to get there, but it is a great profession...which is why I am starting periodontal school in 2009 when I get back from my deployment.
You have to complete dental school first, which is 4 years...then perio school is 3 more. You get to do a lot of cool stuff like place implants, extractions, cool gum surgery and the like.
Go to dental school first, then decide where you want to go from there...you may find another specialty that you like better.
