Can You Get A Sore Throat For Not Brushing Your Teeth For One Day?!

Question: Yesterday, I stayed up really late and forgot to brush my teeth. I woke up and now I've got a stuffy nose and really bad sore throat. Is it a coincidence or did I really get sick for skipping one day? It's weird though because last year I did the same thing and this happened.

Yes, bacteria accumulates in your mouth from food or from not washing your hands before you eat. If you think about it, you touch your face numerous times

If people around you are sick, brush your teeth and wash your hands more frequently.

Thats how doctors prevent themselves from getting sick

Not only is this fact, but is logic. What else do you get sick from? Bacteria. And what accumulates in your mouth? Bacteria.

I hope you feel better soon. I know the pain you are going through! :[

umm..

something is wrong

go check up

No, this is not from not brushing your teeth.

No you can't.

Nope , not for a normal person

It's just a coincidence. Lots of ppl go a day to two without brushing their teeth with no ill befalling them.

No,if you have a sore throat, you likely were near someone who sneezed, or coughed near you, and you breath it in!!! brushing your teeth or forgetting will not make you sick!!!

It's not coincidence. It can happen if you forget to brush your teeth overnight because of the movement of bacteria from the mouth to your throat and into your body as well as the build-up of plaque and tartar.

I;m being dead serious and i know that the chances of this occuring may seem like a coincidence is true, but i've read about this before somewhere in the new reader's digest magazines so yea.

it isnt from not brushing your teeth. i forget all the time and i dont get sick

I don't see how the two are related. Someone must have told you that when you were a kid, to get you to brush your teeth. Its a coincidence....

no

if that was the case my kids would be sick all the time.....(little buggers).........try going to bed earlier...may be that's why you get sick
