Question: i work for an endodontist (root canal specialist) most people are just sore after the proceedure around the injection site GO TO A SPECIALIST!!!!! in my experiance general dentists do not know how todo a root canal right i cant tell you how many patients horror stories i hear and how many retreatments we do

Yes, especially after the Novocaine wears off but only for a day or so.
Only after the anesthetic wears off. You'll be so numb during the procedure that you probably won't feel a thing. Be prepared to eat soft foods for a week or so.

The reality is that any dental procedure can have an after affect that produces discomfort. The positive side however is that the Dentist can prescribe medication that will make the after discomfort easy to deal with and in many cases completely go away. The actual procedure should not be one in which you experience pain... The only time pain is a factor as a rule is when the patient knew they had a tooth problem and put it off so long that it takes a bit longer for the anesthetic to work. Once it does your home free. The only other issue, any dental or medical procedure and their attending discomfort levels can be due to the level of the doctors expertise. Fortunately, those problems are very few and far between. Go for it, you'll do just fine.
hi im petrified of the dentist and i had 2 root canals done at the same time the only thing you feel is a slight pulling the injections are the worse but its a 2 second thing
I've had it done twice and never felt a thing either time but I did go to specialists both times.
I got mine done when i was 14 and i dont remember it hurting but i did also have the gas and i think after wards i get to school!
i had one and it doesn't hurt, it takes like 2 hours
