Tell your brother that the bacteria that live in your mouth on your teeth & gums can migrate into the bloodstream and settle onto the heart valves, grow "vegetations" and set him up for serious, potentially lethal heart problems later in life.

If you don't brush your teeth and floss, you can get gum disease. This could cause him to lose all his teeth by the time he's in his 20s. Generally, women aren't attracted to young men without teeth. Once he gets to be about 70, though, it won't matter as much.

For that matter, if he doesn't brush his teeth he'll have a very hard time finding any girl who'd want to be within arms' length of him, let alone kiss him. His bad breath would probably scare all his friends away.

My youngest son went through the same thing as a young child.
He is now 25yrs. old and paying for his dental neglect. If he's lucky he may keep some of his teeth. But about half of them will need to be extracted and replaced with dental bridges.
Tell your little brother that if he doesn't want to lose his teeth he needs to brush.
You might also recommend to your parents a dental exam to see where his oral health stands.

ADRIANA,
VERY SIMPLE, NOT BRUSHING CAUSES PAINFUL CAVITIES AND THE DENTIST WILL GIVE PAINFUL SHOTS TO FIX THOSE TEETH OR JUST PULL THEM.
