Braces. Do they hurt?!

Question: Do braces hurt? I'm getting them on in 3 days, so I want to have enough precaution.

I had braces for three years and overall they do NOT hurt. The day after they are tightened it is a little sore but it all depends of how much they change them. Also if your wires are not cut correctly they can dig into you cheeck. But like I said overall they do not hurt at all.

umm ya!!!
the ones you take off no
the ones forever yesssss!!!!

Umm i've had them for 3 years
and gettin' them on NO
but with all the pressure after gettin' them on or tightening them they hurt sooo much.

the first couple of days yeah you mouth will be sore.so keep some tylenol and wax near by.and aslo ear soft food the first couple of days

When you first get them on, they are sore and it's hard to eat. And it's the same story every time you get them tightened. Buy soft food like yogurt and pudding and take it easy, it's not that bad.

no...braces do not hurt. i had braces and wore them for 3 yrs. the ones i had were metal and they gave me no problems. you will have to get used to eating though, and when you go for checkups, you will feel pressure(not pain)on your teeth.

when you first get them on it will hurt or you will feel pressure for a couple of days to a week, after that you will get use to them.
however when you get them tightened they might hurt for a day or so.
it will be worth it in the end! just make sure to ware your rubberbands! if you don't you will just have to ware them for longer and there are some bad side effects in the long run.

:D

hope it helps!

Just got mine Wednesday. Getting them on doesn't hurt a bit.
Right Now? I'm dying...Okay, thats an exageration. The braces seem to scratch the inside of my mouth. The only thing I can say is pile the wax on there.

Also, after the first week or so after you get the on, they should be barely noticable. Only hurts a couple days after you get the tighened again.

Initially they may hurt or be inconvenient, but later you adjust to them
