How often SHOULD you get a new toothbrush?!

Question: Answer: Adults and children should change their toothbrush every 3 months because they become worn out and are not as effective as they once were. Exceptions to this would be if you were using an electric toothbrush, and the manufacturer states otherwise. Some electric rechargable toothbrushes have very good brush heads that only need to be changed every 6 months. If you have gum disease, you should change your toothbrush every 4 - 6 weeks because bacteria can harbor in the bristles. You should always rinse your toothbrush out with hot water after every use and change it after you have been sick.

every 3 months.

Every three months, unless you have gum disease, and then it's evey month.
Sometimes I place mine in boiling water to kill the bacteria..

I've read an article somewhere that it should be every three months. Because in three months the bristles get worn and doesn't clean your teeth properly.

Look at the bristles and if they are spread out and not all together it is probably time to change. Probably every 3 months would be a good time span. Try and make sure and brush your teeth at least 2 times a day, and floss. I think the battery operated ones are real good and seem to clean your teeth better than the conventional toothbrush.

My dentist says I need to change every three months, but the bristles are smashed by the end of 2 months, so that's when I change. And if I have had a cold, I use a new one right away, then change again when the cold is gone.Toothbrushes are cheap insurance..

About once every 2 months, or until the bristles look messed up. It's more often if you have braces.

Usually every 3 months, but I replace mine once a month. I am wicked hard on mine.

Every 3 months or anytime you get sick.
