Could a dentist help me if possible please??

I have been having some pain in my lower left jaw it comes and goes and when I press on my jaw. I don't think it's a cavity because I just got braces on 3 months ago..and before they put them on they had to x-rays and they never said anything about cavities..however, they did say that my wisdom teeth are there. The only other thing I can think of is maybe it's the braces beginning to move the teeth???
Could it be that I need a wisdom tooth extraction or does it sound like I have a cavity?

i'm 16 and my dentist had mentioned removing the wisdom teeth once he seen them in the xray but he hasn't mentioned anything sense..i guess i will have to call

It could be anything. First...how old are you?

Usually (most of the time), they will take out all wisdom teeth before giving you braces, unless you are too young to have them out. Wisdom teeth are not something you want to worry about when you have braces on.

I doubt it is a cavity...You usually try to get them taken care of before getting braces on...as they are tough to do once you have your braces on.

the only way you will know for sure is to go back and get some xrays and see your dentist..
