Is it possible to get sick after eating food left undisturbed in braces?!
Question:
Is it possible to get sick after eating food left undisturbed in braces?
When i was 24 i got braces after my 2nd set of wisdom teeth grew in. 3 months later i went on a 10 day-long camping trip with my friends. I forgot to pack a toothbrush. the camping trip meals were sceduled precisly, for example, in the morning everyone would always have a cup of coffee. At lunch we would make peanut-butter and jelly sandwiches. Dinner would be thoughly cooked fish(we made sure of that, my friend, Philip was,and still, is a chef). On the 3 day into the trip, between lunch and dinner, i had vigorous attempt to get the remaining food out of my braces by rinsing and gargleing with water. I was then startled when a rather large chunk of fish was discovered. Not wanting to be rude and spit it out, i ate it. Less than 24 hours later, i grew very ill. with no alternative reason for this sickness i began to think out of the box. then i came up the conclusion that if i had fish stuck in my braces for a some amount of time, wouldnt it rot, causing me to become sick after eating it?
