How can I test if mints/gum works?!
Question: For my science experiment I picked which mint/gum kills bad breath the best. The problem is I don't how I can demonstrate this to my teacher. Please help.

There are ADA approved gums(orbit and eclipse are two i think). You may want to include that in your assignment.
You may also want to talk about xylitol which is a sugar substitute. Xylitol is a natural sweetener poplular in other coutries amongst diabetics and used here in gum, like Trident. Sugar free gums are definitely better at killing bad breath because bacteria in your mouth feed off of sugar, so the more the bacteria eats, the more stinky. Bacteria cannot feed off of xylitol b/c it has 5 carbon atoms whereas sugar has 6 carbon atoms.
Look on the gum packs to see if it's rating is stated. Also contact the manufacturers and asked for their input.
before test one if i want to make it personla eat somethin smelly before u try one and keep doing it until u have all ur data
search the web for info....& you can always include a comparison by using 2 study groups.... maybe 2-3 participants to use actual products that make a specific claim & then a group to use a placebo... keeping the product a secret so that neither group knows what product they are using....
