I'm having my wisdom teeth out and...?!

Question: I know I'm having my bottom two wisdom teeth out. But I don't know if I should have both out at once, or if I should have one, wait a few months, then do the other one. If I do the former, it'll be twice as bad, but I only have to do it once. If I do the latter, it will be much more manageable, but I have to do it twice. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Your best bet would probally to have them out at the same time, most people if they need all four out will have it all done at the same time too. You'll only need one time to be out, and it prolly won't cost as much as having to go back twice. You should talk to the dentist about that, but most likley they will say just get it over with and have them both done.

I'd get it over with all at once. Yes, it will hurt more and be a lot more uncomfortable, but you can probably get them to prescribe double the pain killers, and the whole thing will be cheaper (and less painful) overall than doing it twice.

I know it sucks, but it's worth dealing with the short term extra discomfort now than having to go through basically the same crap twice.

I had 2 top and one bottom wisdom teeth out today. Seconds before the dentist started, I suddenly thought 'Would it be better to have them done separately?'. It was too late in any case! You end up speaking funny due to having your face numbed (especially if having both sides done), but apart from that, I think it is better to get it over and done with. It didn't hurt, but I am glad that I don't have to go again.

Do them all, or as many as need to be removed, at the same time. Here's why:

It does NOT hurt twice as bad. Besides, you'll have pain meds for it, so what's to hurt?

You'll only have to take time off from work/school/reality TV once, rather than twice.

It will probably be cheaper doing them all at once.

Getting everything done at once means the sockets will be healing at the same time. Let's say it takes a week to heal nicely. If you do all 4 now, you're healed in a week. If you do 2 now, 1 later, and 1 next year, you'll spend 3 weeks healing.

Do it all now.

You won't want to go back the second time,I would suggest get all the work done at once.It wasn't so bad,I was up and running the next day.
