It may not be your breath it could be some residue on your tongue. Get a tongue scrapper (local grocery store or pharmacy). Then try using a mild mouth wash.
I found that bad breath is caused by not flossing. General brushing and rinsing clean your mouth but lots and lots of odor causing bacteria live between your teeth.
Try this...take some floss and floss your teeth then smell the floss...crappy, ain't it?
Get a mouthwash without Alcohol
ASSUMING THERE IS NO PROBLEMS WITH THE TEETH, THE NEXT THING TO DO IS SCRAPE THE TONGUE.
