what might occur/happen if a patient refuses to have his teeth pulled out after the local anaethetic has been injected?

Not sure what you are really asking here, but "dances" summed it up about right. You are going to leave the office with a numb mouth, still have the bad tooth/teeth, and a bill for the office visit and anesthetic that you had for nothing. You are really going to be in worse shape than when you went in as now you have a bill to pay, and nothing was done. To me the worse part was over....getting the shot to get numb. I hate needles and a dentist. So there for I always ask for the gas as well. I know that it cost more, but hey at least it will relax you. I am going myself this Tues. ewwwwwww to get a tooth pulled!
