Once you get Acid erosion in your teeth, can you make your teeth stronger again?!
Question: Unfortunately, if the acid has already eaten through the first layer of your teeth (enamel) and the next layer (dentin) is exposed, there is no way to grow the enamel back. You also may have noticed that your teeth are a lot more sensitive once that enamel is gone. If there is a lot missing, you may require crowns on those teeth because a filing to cover the whole surface would be too large.
If there is just a very mild amount of erosion, the dentist may be able to restore the teeth with some kind of resin, but in the case of heavy vomiting or other GI problems, the teeth will probably need to be crowned.
Until then, the dentist may prescribe fluoride or sensitivity toothpaste.
And never drink soda, and certainly not through a straw. That causes heavy decay on certain teeth. Drink non-sugary beverages such as tea, water, and diet soda.
