I have a few questions about braces....?!

I have a few questions about braces....?

1.) What can you not eat when you have them?
2.)Do they hurt when the orthodontist is putting them on?
3.)Is true you cant eat for a week after you get them on?
4.)Do they tightenings hurt?
5.)Are they worth it in the end?

Oh yea, and when they hurt the first few days, will medication such as Tylenol or Advil take away all the pain?

I am getting fised braces on in about 3 weeks , i am looking forward to it becuase i will have a better smile . I dont think it hurts only when you are not used to the pressure on your teeth .
