My front teeth have transparent edges, is this enamel wearing away?!


Question: My two front teeth seem to be becoming more n more transparent especially the longer of my two front teeth and its causing me some concern that they might be decaying or become extremely brittle, what can i do?????

Yes it is but don't dispair, contrary to popular belief, tooth ennamel regenerates slowly. Ask your dentist to recommend a toothpaste. I've got that problem. It doesn't mean they're going to decay - my mum's front teeth have been like that for years.

I am a Dentist and just want to let you know that the information you are handing out is abolutely false. Enamel does not regenerate. Report It

    Its possible, but then everyone has a thin transparent edge, so it would be best to see a dentist and let them advise on acid erosion and tooth wear, they can do an x-ray and keep track of your tooth wear if that is the problem.
    I have a biteguard to wear at night and this helps reduce teeth grinding while I sleep.
