Have you looked into having your dentist do it? (if you had the $ for braces, I would think you may have the $ for whitening...) The dentist can do the best job.
crest whitestrips won't work. its pretty much like a peice of plastic you put on your teeth, it won't fit over the braces unless you take like 20 minutes to cut them out.
just get the arm and hammer toothpaste, it makes your teeth sooo white after you use it, and brush alot too. also instead of like getting yellow, black, orange, pink those types of elastic colours get like silver or white, they will make your teeth look sharper and brighter.
