If you have a terrible toothache and cannot get to a dentist right away, put a capful of 3% peroxide into your mouth and hold it for ten minutes several times a day. The pain will lessen greatly.
Clove oil is good for tooth pain. Apply 1-2 drops to the affected tooth with a cotton swab as needed... if too strong add olive oil
Also, I had to have a root canal and the person who was doing the scheduling set me up for an appointment 2 weeks away. I was in excrucitating pain (I didn't know of the above methods) and I told him that if he could get me in within 2 days, I'd give him $30-all I could spare. He called back and had a cancellation-I was in the next day. Sometimes money talks. Good luck.
