Has anyone ever had their wisdom teeth taken out?!
Question: I have four impacted ones that i'm having surgery to have them taken out, I was wondering if anyone has had it done and if so what's it like and all that stuff.

I had all four done at the same time. It was a bit strange for me, as I've never been put under for a dental procedure before.
I felt nothing until the next day. Thank goodness for the painkillers. They were fabulous.
My cheeks were puffy and bruised for about a week. After a week, I could start eating slightly normal food again. BUT DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT EATING POPCORN UNTIL YOU ARE COMPLETELY HEALED! Yowsa.
It's not the worst thing I've ever gone through, comparatively. Just have someone drive you home, and look after you for the first 24 hours.

I had all four of mine surgically removed, It didn't hurt, they give you pain pills, you just swell up and are tired for a few days.
Ditto...what Kathy Kat said. And do everything your doc tells you to do. Oh, and don't drink out of straws until completely healed!
really hurts. be put to sleep nd then take LOADS of pain killers!
