but do u know i had a swollen tongue about a week ago and it was good because my boyfriend couldn't do the tongue thing(in kissing)is it called french kissing?

Wisdom teeth. They need to be removed

take some ibuprofen, and go see the dentist. You could have an impacted wisdom tooth.

visit your dentist and have him/her prescribe you some antibiotics and pain-killers. I find Bactidol mouthwash effective.

Paracetamol for the pain my friend, or if you are really keen, some anti-inflammatories (take cautiously, with food and not too often - they have side effects if used long term). You need some good antibacterial mouthwash, not just Listerine either. We have Savacol here, recommended by the hospital and very effective, but does stain your teeth (again long term). And a trip to the docs to get the infection down wouldn't hurt, with some antibiotics on the side if need be. After the infections gone down, get thyself to a good dentist to check out whats gone wrong. Good luck, its freaking painful isn't it? I get wisdom teeth swelling from time to time. Bloody horrible feeling.

It sounds like your Wisdom teeth are coming in. This is something that happens with most teenagers and young adults. Most choose to have their Wisdom teeth removed by minor surgery before they start coming in so that it doesn not make their regular teeth crooked.

Your best bet is to go to the Dentist and get an X-Ray taken so they can determine if it is your wisdom teeth. They will be able to proscribe you medicine incase you want to just let them come in, or they can set up a date and perhaps have them taken out (which is better in the long run).

This is the best Website for you to read up on about your Wisdom Teeth, I strongly recommend you read this from the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeans.
