I'm Worried About Braces I'm Having In Two Days?!

Question: Im just woundering if when you have your " train track braces " the ' thing' they put on your back teeth does that hurt when they put it on ?

Ive had a removable brace for around 3 months so i understand that it doesent hurt when they are fitted but im just still worried about that " thing " they put on your back teeth

ok i had my braces on for three years. I could tell you that for me when i first put on my braces it kind of feels tight when they place them on your back teeth. Is it like a metal cap that they put in the back of your teeth?? because, if so then they do kind of feel tight on your teeth but dont worry its not worse then getting a shot if that makes u feel any better. But its all worth it in the end because your teeth are going to look beautiful ! :)

its a little uncomfortable.. & will ache a lot, & take a lot of getting used to. but soon you dont even notice it.

..until they're tightened ;)

lol

Brace should never be uncomfortable, except for the soreness that you get while your roots are actually moving. (Which are you are probably familiar with with your previous braces.)

If there is ever any sore spots from any part of the metal, the orthodontist or dentist can either adjust it or give you wax to cover it up so you can protect your cheeks and tongue.

I have braces and they are not that bad.
It sucks when they tighten them though and when they put a thicker wire on you,.

i have had braces for almost a year and they hurt for the first like...5 or 7 days. after that they feel fine and you get use to them. when they get tightened, it also hurts for 2 or 3 days. you will get over it. they are no big deal. in the end, having straighter teeth is worth the few days of a little pain.

Hey, don't worry about this... think about what a great smile you will have. I had em' and there was no pain at all. My only problem was that I was lazy and didn't always put my bands on. But I'm so happy now that I had them. My teeth are one of my best features. I've had so many complements on them. And, again, I had no pain at all. It is great that you can afford to have them. Many people walk around with ugly teeth all their lives.
