Orajel, anbisol, both topical pain relievers that work well. Use a salt water rinse (teaspoon of salt into a cup of water) 2 or 3 times a day will help keep the area clean and free of germs. It will sting a bit at first, but in the end will help a lot.

Orajel works great.

aspirin until you get it pulled then warm salt water after every meal for a week

You probably should have a dentist look at it, likely with an xray. "Extremely painful" is not the standard scenario. It may be infected (oftentimes pericoronitis).

TYLENOL WITH CODEINE OR A VALIUM!

The Best thing you can take is Ibuprofen which is a generic form of Motrin, you can get that over the counter, get the 200 mg and take about 1 of those every 6 hours (4 times daily)

Clove oil is the best home remedy for toothaches. Even dentists use it. I found the information at http://aches.in/toothacheremedies.html useful

Gargle a mixture of salt and warm water or gargle a shot of whiskey or rum for curbing pain due to teething "wisdom teeth". More remedies and information regarding your wisdom teeth at http://useinfo-dentalcare.blogspot.com/
