I had my Top Wisdom Teeth Removed 2 years ago but now...?!

Question: There is a sharp hard thing (bone maybe?) sticking out of the area where the tooth was removed and it is a little sore as well. It is small, thin feeling and only sticking out a little...

I don't have dental for another two months. (I started a new job)

Any idea on what this can be?

Yes, it does sound like a piece of bone. It should come out on it's own, but if the surrounding area becomes infected you should see a dentist. Also, rinse with a 1/2 tsp. salt to a cup or 1/2 cup of warm water. You will find it soothing.

its a bone shard, considering you situation with the dental ins, I'd go ahead and schedule a visit for 2 months from now (after your ins kicks in). You should be fine, it'll just be a little annoying.

Since it takes quite a while to get into the dentist anymore I would schedule it now. I have the same thing... it is just a small piece of bone that naturally rises as gum shrinks. You will be fine. Good luck!

Just a little bone spur so very simple for the dentist to remove won't take 2 minutes!! Doc W
