I had a tooth extracted near a sinus cavity and think there is a problem....see !

Question: the dentist told me there was a pin size hole there when he pulled it and that is should be ok, but I am having alot of pressure on that side of my face now and sometimes my right nostril will burn real badly. Are there any other signs that the hole got bigger and will it heal on it;s own.

The sinus wall in many people is very thin between itself and the root tips of Upper teeth. It's not common but it does happen from time to time that when an Upper tooth is extracted the sinus wall is penetrated. As a rule it will heal on it's own, yet in other cases the hole is to large and needs to be grafted closed. If the tooth that was extracted had a lot of infection around it at the time of extraction it's possible that infectious material is now in the sinus. You must not delay seeing an ENT, ear, nose and throat doctor or an Oral Surgeon. The dentist who extracted the tooth should have put you on a round of antibiotics following the extraction. Don't put off seeing one of the doctors I mentioned. You need to avoid a possible serious issue.

by dentist do you mean the surgeon?

if not.. talk with the surgeon

I never had that problem and my top were right up there with my sinus cavities. I think they were pushed in by accident. All you can do is call the dentist and let them know whats going on.
