I came back from the dentist. I am trying not to be discouraged by God's care, but my fear has overtaken me. I have an appointment for the surgery for tomorrow. The dentist claimed that the cavity is too huge, and it needs root canal. Afterwards, a crown. Is it possible to place a filling after root canal instead? Dental visits are quite costly. I have many teeth that needs to be fixed. Also, my face is swollen. The dentist said it could stay swollen. Is that true? How do i carry on? Im so scared. The dentist diagnosis sounds so difficult at the tone of discouragement and disgust. How do i not give in to these scare tactics? Do you share similiar experience?

The Word of God says I did not give you a spirit of fear but of power and love and of a sound mind . It depends on your insurance but the cavities that I had filled were free because it was preventive care. I have had a root canal done before, it is by no stretch of the mind pain free, but with a local anisthetic you will be ok soon. I think all medical personnel are trained to tell you worst case scenarios but try to stay positive. I still need some dental care myself, so I can relate. You may also want to get a 2nd opinion to put your mind at ease. Good Luck! I will lift you up in my prayers. :)
