Brushing teeth with hydrogren peroxide?!

Question:

Brushing teeth with hydrogren peroxide?

I have been considering doing Zoom teeth whitening, however I have a friend who is in the dental industry and he said I would get the same result if I brushed with Hydrogen peroxide. Is that true? And why do some people say gargle with salt water?

- A 3% solution of hydrogen peroxide with equal amounts of water can be used as a mouthwash - swish for up to 60 seconds once a day; but don't swallow and be sure to rinse your mouth out afterwards. This can also help whiten teeth.

Answers:

You can use Peroxide like a mouth rinse to assist in whitening your teeth. It's not suggested that you do it more than 1-2 times per week as for it may make your gums sensitive.

Also for whitening your teeth you can brush with Baking Soda mixed with your toothpaste or by itself. It is VERY effective at teeth whitening, but it is also very abrasive and suggested that you only do this 1-2 times per week.

You can do both together even, just not to often.
