Exposed bone?!
Question: I had oral surgery 7 days ago and I have exposed bone where the stitches came out because of sweling. The doc said it's okay to wait another week until my next appointment, but my dad swares i'll get some kind of bone infection.
I'm using a Rx mouthwash and on antiboitics.
What do you think?

Trust your oral surgeon, continue with the mouthwash rinses to keep the area clean (especially after eating), and most importantly, take ALL of your antibiotics, on schedule. Many people make the mistake of taking some of the antibiotic Rx, then stop ('they are too big, hard to swallow", or "I feel all better!"). What this does is kills off the weaker bacteria, allowing the stronger bacteria to flourish, and that is NOT what you want to happen. Also, listen to your body. Is the surgical area feeling more tender/swollen? Is there a bad taste/odor in your mouth? Does it hurt more than it did? If any of the above, call your doc immediately.
