take some ALEVE before you go...also take some TYLANOL...take the aleve like 3 times that day and the tylenol like as much as you can...it doesn't reallly hurt...until they put spacers in...with me...i only have some of the top ones on and my spacers in...during spring break...and am getting the rest of them put in, my spacers taken out, and they're going to put the rubber bands in=its gonna hurt after the appointment, so you're not going to want to eat much, eat soft foods within the days after that!
GOOD LUCK=: )

when i got mine the people there talk to me about what to do.and the only thing i have to say i brush and floss so they look nice : *)

okkay calm it isnt that bad, you just cant eat alot of hard stuff ,pretty much like candy or any of your favouritse fatty foods, you have to eat things that are soft for example like soup, ohh and no gum [[but thats when it hurts]] but once you get used too it like for a week or two oyu can go back to eating what you want.

They will tell you everything you need to know when you're
there. Don't worry about it, braces never killed anyone.
The most important thing is to keep them clean, so you will
need to brush more often, brush for a longer period of time to get around everything that's in there, and really brush along your gumline to keep everything healthy.
