Answers:

Do not put aspirin on the tissue! This will create another problem, it will severely burn your tissue.

The eruption of wisdom teeth is painful. They are the smallest tooth but hurt worse than any of the others when erupting. But I'm not telling you anything you don't know, now am I?

Ok you have pain medication now, take it and allow some time for it to work. If you took it on an empty stomach (you shouldn't do that) it will start to work in about 30 minutes. A full stomach will seem to take longer. Also, about 2 hours later take 800mg of Advil or Motrin; you need an anti inflammatory to reduce the inflammation you have from the teeth erupting.

Also, sip on ice cold drinks; smoothies, ice cream, popsicles, crushed ice, more ice cream and you can even use an ice pack on both sides a few minutes at a time. Try to keep your tongue from playing with the areas keeping the tissue irritated.

If the teeth have cut through the tissue, then use really warm (nearly hot, but not so hot as to burn) salt water and rinse several times a day to ease soreness and swishing vigorously to clean under the tissue flap to reduce the possibility of infection developing.

Hopefully these tips will help you to feel somewhat better until you can see your dentist. Nothing will make the pain go away completely, but these techniques along with the pain medication will help to aleviate it somewhat. Hope I've been of some help! You will survive this just like the rest of us have, you just don't feel like you will right now. Good luck!

Additional information: I am so sorry, I miss read the question and thought you had three "erupting" wisdom teeth “busting” in through the gums. I am so sorry that I gave you the wrong information, except for the aspirin.

So about the only thing you can do is take the pain medication as directed and add the Advil or Motrin 2 hours later, at an 800mg dose about every 8 hours to be effective. It's the inflammation and possible infection that is causing the pain and the only way to relieve this is to have these teeth extracted. You can try an ice pack or some patients say hot compresses help. Do which ever seems to help alleviate your pain.

If you don’t get any relief from the medications by tomorrow, call your dentist office again and let him know. He will probably want to place you on an oral antibiotic therapy to get the infection under control prior to proceeding with the extractions next week. Most dentists prefer to not do root canals on the third molars unless they are needed as an abutment tooth.

Again, I am sorry I miss read the question, it was my mistake and I apologize and thankful no harm was done.
