Is it okay to use "kid flavored" or "for kids" toothpaste an!

Question:

Is it okay to use "kid flavored" or "for kids" toothpaste and mouthwash?

I look at the labels and they have the same amount of fluoride. Apparently oral companies think that all adults like mint; I'm not a big fan and usually go for the bubble gum or fruity flavored stuff. I've always wondered if it's just as good for me to use though.

Does anyone know?

Answers:

It is perfectly fine to use the "kid's" toothpaste.

I am a dentist and I have tried a lot of different flavors. I like Crest's new cinnamon flavor, but my all time favorite is Pepsodent. I think it is the cheapest toothpaste you can get, but the flavor tastes a little like root beer -- a slightly minty root beer.

The main thing is that you are brushing your teeth with something.
