i have been put on metronizadole for dental problems. and im feelin ill. i started them last saturday. and on 400mg 3 times daily. has anyone taken them befor or know the side effets?(the doctor said im expected to feel a little unwell!!)

The most frequent side effects are dizziness, vertigo, irritability, depression, weakness and insomnia. Gastrointestinal disturbances include nausea, vomiting.
In the mouth a sharp metallic unpleasant taste.
The mosr feared one is that if you ingest alcohol while taking metronidazol you could get a disulfiram effect, a very feared group of symptoms.
