There are many dangers of anesthesia, but risks are often outweighed by significant benefits. All forms of anesthesia, even local types, can carry risk of allergic reaction. Further, anesthesia is essentially exposing the body to controlled levels of toxic chemicals in order to either stop pain temporarily or to induce a semi-conscious or unconscious state. Despite dangers of anesthesia, pain relief, or conditions that threaten life or quality of life tend to be worth the risk.

It can, and the risk are greater the heavier the person is or if the person has a weakened immune system or breathing problems. But generally, it is a mild risk. Speak with your anesthesia doctor prior to surgery to get your self reassured and find out what your own personal risk are. Good luck!

Well, you're really asking two questions there... the first one takes me back to 1938, the nazi's were on the verge of winning dang tickety and getting their hands on the grand prize, the jews. I didn't think of anything at the time, but something in the air was saying "...bacon...bacon...". I think it was my stomach ulcer, as time progressed the cherry tree grew as tall as the walnut and with twice as much egg. I rode my trumpet all the way through Westminister, Russia on the bacon of a silver-black phantom bike. Chocolate cheese was the greatest craze of the time and by the Prehistoric period, cuban cigars were on sale at every cave in the western hemisphere. Only at that time, we lived on the moon and aliens were eating bacon. I lost my train of thought, so happy hannukah!

it can but thats with any surgery that puts u under
