Expander. Please Help!!!?

I got my expander today, but when I speak long sentences I gag until I stop then I have to take a break untill I take a deep breath.What should I do???? It hurts really bad to talk and just do anything!

Also what is good that I could eat that won't get stuck!!!

I just got mine out! It took me a good week to stop drouling and spitting! You will get used to it! start with soup!
