Best way to put on Crest White Strips?

I just bought the crest white strips, and so far have used them twice, but it seems like they slide around too much on my teeth. I followed the directions and didn't brush directly before, so I don't know if i'm doing something wrong of if they're supposed to be like that.

Also, how soon after taking them out can I eat?

Yes, they are kind of slippery if you move it. Try to wear them separately. It helps to keep it in place. Before I put them on, I wipe the saliva from my teeth. And once on, I try to keep the saliva off of it, but hard of course. I just suck the saliva back from the bottom. Or I close my mouth and pretend it's not there. It helps a lot.
