Can I use invisalign braces after implant?!

Question:

Can I use invisalign braces after implant?

My teeth aren't extremeley crooked, but not straight. I was told by my dentist, before my accident, it might take 5-6 months on invisaligners to correct. But I was in an accident and will need an implant on my front tooth, it's being pulled out next week. Once I get the implant in, can I get braces? Is it possible? I was worried I can't, maybe it'll damage the implant?

Answers:

An implant is screwed literally into the bone. After you get an implant, you cannot put forces on it for usually 6 months. This is an integration time to make sure that the implant takes into the bone. After this timeframe, you can get a crown put on it, and start putting stress and eating with it.

However, this will not work with braces unless you just move the other teeth. An implant tooth will not move, but the others around it can. I would reccommend to get braces first, and then get the implant if needed..
