Should I go ahead and extract my wisdom tooth?!

Question: At my last consultation, the dental surgeon told me that my bottom left wisdom tooth is sitting on a nerve which, if extracted, may cause permanent jaw numbness. Should I or shouldn't I go ahead with the extraction? Is there anyway to make the pain go away if I don't go thru the surgery? Has anyone gone thru it and suffered permanent jaw numbness? How did you cope?

Yes you should get the procedure. I got all 4 wisdom teeth out yesterday, 2 in my nasal cavity and 2 in my jaw where one was very close to a nerve. Your surgeon just wanted to inform you of every possibility since there are possible complications anytime you have surgery. If you have a good possibility of having nerve damage, he will probably make the executive decision to leave in the roots closest to the nerve to prevent permanent damage.
I say just get it over with, you will be perfectly fine.

My daughter just had both lower wisdom teeth removed. She was told the same thing. She hasn't had any problems, no swelling or bruising either. I think they have to tell you this because of the possibility of it happening. Good Luck!!

If its causing harm then - yes
but overall dont. because they are actually importent
example your teeth are like sissors, so the front arent that good to cut sometimes
but the back is the very best.
so only if its going bad!
