Clicking teeth.....?
my husband clicks his teeth like most bite their nails, any ideas on how to get him to stop? (no he isn't doing drugs) it's more of a grinding kinda thing.

It is subconscious. If he is awake tell him when he does it, it will help him start paying attention to it so he can try to control it. Next, if he is doing it in his sleep he should get a nightguard before it begins to put a lot of wear/fractures on/in his teeth. You can try an over the counter one first. They are by the floss normally you only need to wear the bottom one. If the sides poke the gums to much trim them w/ sharp knife or scissors and then use a lighter to flame the edges back smooth. If this isn't working go to your dentist and have him make one that is individually fitted. Over time if he consistently keeps doing this he will wear his teeth down to little nubs, can put fractures in his teeth requiring crowns and sometimes even root canals. It is sometimes due to stress, destressing before bed sometimes helps, but it doesn't seem to help my husband.
