What color is good for braces?!

Question: I'm getting braces in April. So, thus, I don't know what color to get. I was thinking since April is like, "rainy month" something like a baby blue and some other blue just to make me thinnk of April... but I don't know anymore. I want something not too loud, but not to ugly and dull...
Also, on a scale of one to ten, how bad did braces hurt the first few days, and when was the worst pain? Well thanks to anyone who helps! :)

wow someone said it took 2 hours to get braces on?? i got my brackets (little squares on your teeth) and my wires at diff. times and the brackets took 30 mins to glue on and the wires took less than 5 mins. it wasnt very long. it doesnt hurt at all when they put everything on your teeth but gradually after you leave the orthodontist's office, you start to feel the pain. It hurt me constantly for about 4-5 days, and i can just now start to bite into sandwiches (got wires on feb 25th 08), its still hard for me to bite into somethings, but i just break it into small pieces to pop into my mouth, not a big deal. Its kind of hard to brush your teeth too so be gentle in the beginning. ALso for color, i think blue is an awesome color choice!! Go for it!! Oh yea on a scale of 1-10 the pain is about a 6 or 7.

hey, have fun. it takes 2 hours to just get the braces on. it hurts for 3-4 days aftewords, but you can take ibuprofen or tylonel for that. DO NOT chew hard, it WILL hurt...:), if you have lots of powder such as tumeric in your diet, do not get a light color, because it will fade. for example, i had pink, which turned into an ugly orange after some time.....try a dark metallic purple......and for the scale, it hurts about a 6, with 10 being unbearable...then again, my teeth were REALLYmessd up :)...hope this helps!

I always got hot pink. The colors never dont look as bright when there in your mouth. The pain for me was like a 10 but i think thats unusual so you will be ok

im thinkin Neena is right.. purple would be cool. 2 shades of purple a lilac and darker purple

Yea have fun with it change it up a little bit. I did colors according to the months of special days...like Valentines I would get pink, or by the birthstones for each months ^^!

Well since you get the color changed every month have fun with it. I did! After awhile tho you run out of colors. I went for clear and stuff. Normally the white changes colors and stuff Es no bueno lol.

yo should get hot pink thats a sweet color.....when you get your braces you'll tastes the metal in your mouth and it isnt soo pleasent and the little pain kicks in later on when you get them but when you first get them you should get a bannana smoothie its the best thing to get after you get your braces :) trust me you wont taste the metal after that

gosh....maybe I am just a wimp but I have had braces for about 3 weeks now and they still hurt....sort of. Not as bad as the first few days, but they are still sore. Just when I think they are getting better, I guess I eat the wrong thing and here comes the soreness again.....It sucks!!! But I am being told it will be worth it in the end. I wasnt sure what color to choose so I just stuck with a dark gray so they blend with the metal. Maybe next time I will try a dark purple.

DON'T choose white!
