I just got braces and I hate them already?!

Give it some time. I had braces and none of those things are true. Your lips won't change and if the shape of your mouth changes--it will be for the better. Not only do straight teeth LOOK better, they are easier to keep clean therefore reducing the chance of future cavities, gum disease etc. It will be SO worth it when you are done. You'll get used to the way they look and feel. You'll have a few days of discomfort every time they are tightened but it's no biggie. Invisilines have to be worn 22 hours a day (NOT just at night) and aren't a good option for teens--especially ones not dedicated to straightening their teeth. If you don't wear them, they don't work! Braces on the inside of the teeth are not common or practical. Just tough it out--you'll be glad you did. Braces are so common these days, no one will think you are a geek. How can anyone trying to improve their looks and oral health be a geek? Those who think that aren't worth your time or worry. #1 rule though--keep those suckers clean or you will regret it when they are removed. If plaque sits around them all the time, you will have to get fillings on every tooth when they are off. It will be costly, not fun and your teeth will look forever different. you will be fine...its normal to hate them at first.....i had mine for 3 and a half years and Its SO WORTH IT!
well. i have braces and my face didnt change but is different for everyone. they are worth it because you would want to have straight teeth right? i am happy with the results of my braces the too years will go by pretty fast in life. and sometimes your lips doo change. you can kiss with braces but be careful. you my get stuff.
None of the things you asked are true. I have braces and I'm getting them off in a month or 2. I think they are pretty cool. You'll get used to them. It just bothers you and hurts because you just went to the Ortho. It will happen every time, but then you'll get used to it. I hope I helped!
I had braces, I hated them too but it was worth it in the long run. You can absolutely kiss with them just give yourself some time to get used to them so you aren't uncomfortable while trying to kiss. Braces are very common I'm sure nobody will think you look like a geek. They can change how your smile looks if the teeth pull in, but it will be for the better and your face won't look different. 2 years is a long time to have them. Could you talk to the orthodontist about maybe using the braces for correcting a major issue then switching to something like invisaline that you only wear at night? Or see if they could put the braces behind your teeth, they are not visable that way?
In my schoolthere are hundreds of people with braces, so don't worry. when you are older you will appriciate having straight teeth. Although i am dreading getting mine put in.

There are some people in the world that wish they had braces! I have to wait two months to get mines because I have to get some teeth pulled out. Quit wining and take it like a real woman! And you can kiss with braces you spoiled brat!
