Dental help. Is a molar extraction (non wisdom) an ordeal? or done in the first !
Question:
Dental help. Is a molar extraction (non wisdom) an ordeal? or done in the first office visit?
I broke out a part of the molar next to the wisdom tooth and i am terrorfied. no pain yet. i am trying to get tot the dr.
to those that experienced this will it be a quick procedure they will do at my first visit? i would assume so for its not a wisdom tooth. also how much before insurance does a simple extraction run? i assume 100 before insurance?
Answers:
You may not have to extract the tooth, it might just need a build-up and a crown, possibly a root canal. In my office we would take an x-ray of the tooth to determine if we can save it or if it needs to be extracted. If it needs to be extracted we would most likely refer you to an oral surgeon and if it needs a root canal we would refer you to an endodontist(root canal specialist) and after the endodontist finished the root canal you would come back to our office for the crown.
