Sore Jaw,Tongue and Throat after 1 wisdom tooth removed?!

Question:

Sore Jaw,Tongue and Throat after 1 wisdom tooth removed?

I just had my right bottom wisdom tooth extracted on Monday, (now Wednesday) and I'm having pain under my tongue near the gum, sore throat and cant open my mouth fully because my jaw is sore....is this normal?

I knew my jaw would be sore for a few days, but the tongue and throat are really annoying. Any one have any ideas what to do to lessen the pain, taken paracetomol and stronger pain killers but doesnt seem to be helping, also get a throbbing pain in the hole where the tooth was, feels like someone had a chisel and hammer, hammering away! OUCHHH!!!

Answers:

Could be dry socket, an infection where the tooth was removed. Call the dentist.
