My teeth are so sore?!
Question: hi my teeth are always sore for about a week after i get my braces adjusted i cant chew anything without my teeth killing me i usually eat stuff like jello and ice cream but i really cant live on that for a entire week please help me i've tried tylenol!!

Tylenol will not help. You need to take ibuprofen or preferrably aleve. These have antiinflammatory action, but tylenol does not have any. When they tighten the braces it can cause periodontal ligament inflammation. Try to actually take something before you go to get them tightened and continue taking it for at least the first 24 hours afterward.
thats what happened to me it sux but i just eat like soup and spaghetti and stuff that is soft
i take motrin and it kind of helps just get through that 1-2 weeks and they wont hurt anymore
(until you go back to get them tightened again haha)
its your teeth adjusting to the tightening of the braces. ot pulls on your teeth to put them in place. keep taking tylenol.
hey i know the feeling well. there isn't a whole lot you can do for the few days after you get your braces tightened that they really kill besides eat a lot of soup and warm, soft foods. i take motrin for my teeth and it helps me. also, sleeping helps lol =]
I usually think that stuff like jello and ice cream are not good for your teeth,even for your health. If your teeth are always sore you need to eat more vegetables and fruits which can help you to restore your sore teeth. My boyfriend has been suffered that pain for a long time. I have to enforce him to eat vegetables and fruits,because he hate these.
