Braces- rubberbands?!

Braces- rubberbands?
i just recently got rubberbands and i have 6 months until i get my braces off
someone told me the other day that if i double up on my rubberbands it will move the process along faster
is this true?!!
Answers:
Sometimes doubling rubber bands does in fact move things along quicker, but you must remember that rubber bands are designed to train your muscles into new positions and later on the bone and teeth respond. Double up if you can but don't expect treatment time to be less simply because you have done so.
