Are root canals painful?
I am having root canal done in a few weeks with a crown over the weakened tooth. It is the second tooth from the top that will be worked on. What should I expect? I was aways told that my tooth will end up falling out in a few years because of the root canal because it weakens the tooth.

other than the shots to numb the pain a root canal is nothing extreme...there is a lot of drilling tugging and pulling, which in the end will leave you sore for a few days...
no your tooth wont fall out...infact a root canal can enhance the life or longevity of a tooth that has gone bad anyways..
