So, I have bad teeth so I probably get fillings every 6 months. Well, my denist said there is this new laser thing that goes "click, click click" and it does not hurt. Im used to fillings. so i thought "no problem". I went in the day before yesterday and it hurt like hell. He gave me 6 shots for 1 tooth and it still was not numb, so he shot me some more. I got 2 fillings done and i felt it all. So, i got home and MY MOUTH STRATED SWELLING UP!! Now, Im not expert but filling should not make my mouth blow up like it did. My cheeck is bruised and swollen still. I tried taking motrin and advil [sp?] but it still huts. What could the denist have did

Note: Its not like i have not had anything done on my teeth before. I have probably had 6 fillings, my teeth pulled and I got a root canal a few months ago!!

For a start take better care of your teeth, prevention is better than cure. I've had a filling before which left me with an extremely bruised cheek and near enough a black eye. Swelling often happens, taking ibuprofen helps as it has an ingredient which reduces swelling.
I don't know however about the procedure you've had done so I can't comment whether this is normal. I've felt fillings before and aslong as it didn't hurt I can't imagine there being anything wrong. I'd suggest making an appointment for a check up if the pain doesn't go away and next time suggest for the more traditional method as you feel that works for you best.
