I'm sorry to hear that no dentist will extract your tooth. There is no reason for them to avoid taking X-rays, extracting the tooth, or even initiating drainage to help you. Antibiotics alone may not help. You must get to the source of the infection.
Perhaps your obstetrician could give you something in writing to reassure these ignorant dentists.
Is there a local University dental school or hospital dental school that could help you?

It depends on how bad the infection is and yes it will eventually have to be pulled if the infection doesn't clear up. If your pain hasn't gone away in a few days call your dentist back.

An abscessed tooth needs drainage. If it is acute then you are given antibiotic, analgesic and antiinflammatory to reduce the swelling and pain.If you are unable to bear the pain, then after the acute abscess subsides you can go for extraction or drainage after the first trimester.(after 12 wks).
Consult your dentist.

Just make sure you take the full dosage of anti biotic. But you may want to get some ambisol which is an numbing agent over the counter. it may take a couple of days . but as long as there is inflamation there is pressure of the tissue against the nerve. and ouch you are in atough place because of the safety of the unborn. Go to the nearest pharmacy and quiz the pharmacist. there may be an anti inflamotory that would help.
