What should i use to clean my clear retainers.?!
Question: They are clean and the orthodontist told me not to use to past because they will trun white, not to soke them in mouth wash because they will turn a diffrent color. So what should i use.

My ortho told me not to use paste because it breaks down the plastic.
I use Efferdent tablets - the denture cleaner
Fill a cup with hot water, drop a tablet in. Put your retainer in (both peices) make sure they both submerged. And let soak for a few hours.
My ortho said he was very impressed and wished all of patients used my method.
Well your dentist is lying. I brush my retainers every morning and night with my toothbrush and toothpaste. And when i notice they look a little dirty i thrown them in a cup of mouthwash. These techniques do not affect the retainers at all mine have stayed the exact same color as the day i got them. I have heard that soaking them in vinegar also works to.
