What kind of toothbrush...?!

Question: which toothbrush is most effective? the manual or electric one?
ive been using a crest electric but all of a sudden it doesnt work anymore? does that mean crest is just a bad brand? is it normal? or are electric toothbrushes not worth it? is it weird to use an electric toothbrush?

There is nothing wrong with a Crest electric toothbrush, but since they are less expensive than say a high end brush like Sonicare, they do tend to wear out faster. I always recommend Sonicare to my patients who want a great electric toothbrush. I have had mine for 8 years and it is still going strong! But if a Sonicare is out of your price range, just buy a new Spin Brush when your old one wears out. Or, use a good manual toothbrush. It's really all about what you are comfortable using and feel like works for you. As long as the toothbrush is "soft" and not worn out, it will work just fine at removing plaque from teeth. Hope this helps =)

Sonicare, Oral B, or Ultreo are the best. they are expensive, but do a much better job.
