Wisdom teeth have to come out!?
I have to get my wisdom teeth out, and was wondering if anyone had went the way with shots to the mouth, I think it's local/general anesthetic. I'm thinking of going that way, but I heard you can hear the drills and everything, and was wondering if this was a painful or bad experience to be awake during this. Thanks.

Been there done that. The novicane shots pinch somewhat, but once they are done its totally painless. Its a bit wierd as you can feel the dentist pulling and tugging away, then you'll kind of hear a ripping crunch as the tooth is ripped out, but you don't feel a thing. After the novicane wears off there is a little discomfort, just keep the gums moist until they heal. Make sure to gargle with the warm salt water to keep food and debris out of them holes or you will rot the back root of the rear molars and they too will have to come out... been there done that too.
