I'm having 13 teeth extracted on Friday and have 4 days total before my plates are put in.?

I am optimistic about every thing going well. Can anyone share a similar experience with me? Maybe I should be more wary.

Is there no way to save your teeth? I'm sure you've done everything possible. I didn't go through this but my father did. The dentist (who, for what it's worth, was my Uncle) waited several weeks before taking the impression for the plate to ensure there was no swelling and the fit would, therefore, be good. My dad never had a problem and never needed any adhesives or anything.
